Join us from 6-8 p.m. May 16 for an opening reception for Velera Adams, whose paintings will be shown in the Susan Koehn Gallery.

Since retiring from teaching elementary education in the public school, Velera Adams enjoys designing and painting in both watercolor and oil. Her subjects include floral, still life, landscapes, animals, and birds. She has taught at a variety of seminars and art galleries in Kansas. Her paintings have won blue ribbons and Best of Show at the Kansas State Fair. Velera has entered five juried shows winning a variety of awards including Judges Choice and Peoples Choice. Children enjoy the mural of a three-ring circus on the walls of the play area painted by Velera in the Hutchinson Et Cetera Shop.
