Origami Class with Dena Bisnette 

Fun for all. 

 “Welcome To Origami”, a new class
being offered at Carriage Factory Art Gallery on Saturday, Aug. 6, from
1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the gallery.
Dena Bisnette will be instructor for the class, which costs $20 with
all materials supplied. Origami, also known as Japanese paper folding, is
suitable for all ages except very young children, so children who are
accompanied by an adult are welcome to participate. The class will be
limited to 12 people.
Participants will use square pieces of decorative paper to make
three projects to learn some of the basic folds: a simple swan; an iro
bako, which is a decorative cube assembled from six folded papers; and
an orizuru, the crane that has become one of the most recognizable
examples of origami in the world.
The class may run slightly longer or shorter than two hours
depending on the number of students.
