Let’s Paint a Landscape with Jay Holobach

August 8-9, 9 AM – 3 PM. Join artist Jay Holobach for a two-day workshop focusing on the ‘four horsemen’ of painting: Value, Composition, Color and Drawing. This workshop is organized in a lecture/lab format and will focus on the use of oil or acrylic paints. Filled with practical hands-on exercises, presentations, and short demonstrations, you’ll be given tools to elevate your own work as you discover your own unique brush style. The workshop will use photo references to create a painting and, weather permitting, briefly step outside so we can compare outdoor lighting to photographs. Maybe we’ll even paint outdoors by the gallery! Open to all levels, although some experience with landscape painting is beneficial.
