Artist's Statement

Dave Reiter studied graphic design at the Colorado Institute of Art and continued his studies with many professional artists throughout his career, including Hazel Weckbach, Jordan Wolfson, Zoey Frank, Lorenzo Chavez, and others. Painting professionally since 2007, Dave predominantly bases his work in the landscape and abstract genres while further exploring how memory and relationships harmonize with the play of color and texture in his creations. Mainly doing commission work and large-scale paintings for individuals and corporate spaces, Dave has participated in prominent exhibitions throughout Colorado and nationally, won numerous awards, and created work for the City of Thornton, CO, UC Health, Grange Hall Food Court, and others.
