Bob Regier
Artist's Statement
Bob Regier’s roots are in southwest Minnesota. He is a 1952 graduate of Bethel College in North Newton, Kansas, where he majored in the social sciences. Following his undergraduate work he pursued an education in the visual arts by attending the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and the University of Illinois, where he earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in 1965. He returned to Newton and taught courses in the visual arts for more than two decades at his alma mater, Bethel College. Throughout these years he chaired the Visual Arts Department.
Bob’s primary interest in his personal work has been in the two-dimensional media of painting and printmaking. He has exhibited widely and is represented in many public and private collections.
Regier is now retired. His studio and home are located in North Newton.
