Artist's Statement

As a born and raised Kansas girl, I love all things Kansas. My journey into photography started by taking pictures of special family moments and progressed steadily until I purchased my first DSLR camera about 7 years ago. From that camera my love for photography turned into an artistic outlet. My body of work includes, but is not limited to, capturing nature, wildlife, portraits, cars, architecture, landscapes, and plant life. I enjoy photographing ordinary or overlooked subject matter and putting a unique perspective on it. Now, I am a retired RN with a passion for photographing the beauty and life of Kansas.
