Artist's Statement

Mary was born in England and has always had a love of nature.  During her careers first as a teacher and then as an HR Director, Mary relaxed after a stressful day at work painting pictures inspired by God’s creation and crafting with seashells. Although not formally trained in art, Mary has enjoyed painting in various media and working on artistic projects for the past 40 years.  After participating in about 12 shows a year, mostly on the Texas gulf coast, she moved to North Newton with her husband, Homer, (a native Kansan) in December 2019 from Austin, Texas.
