Marilyn Hope Lake
Marilyn Hope Lake, Ph.D., began painting at age 67. She studied with Doug Trowbridge, Jo Crow, and Rosalea Russell through Hutchinson Kansas Recreation and De Lois V. Smith Senior Center programs. She has learned from many other painting friends.
Lake has garnered numerous awards for her work at Kansas State Fairs and through the “Art is Ageless” program sponsored by the Newton Kansas Presbyterian Manor. In December 2010 Lake was honored with her own show at the Hutchinson Public Library.
In 2011 and 2016 she had paintings selected for the “Art is Ageless” Calendar published by the Presbyterian Manors of Kansas and Missouri. She also is an award winning author. Marilyn and her husband, Denton Warn, live in Hutchinson, Kansas.
