Alcohol Inks Class with Pam Hayes
July 13 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm$45
Alcohol Inks class with Pam Hayes.
She will provide all necessary supplies and no previous art or craft experience is required. Pam will demonstrate tips and techniques using alcohol inks on Yupo paper and ceramic tiles. She gives participants three bottles of ink, two 5×7” pieces of Yupo paper, two 6×6” white tiles, one 4×4” tile and latex gloves to use during class and to take home with them after class. She will also have a handout describing supplies and where to get them.
Pam provides a good number of bottled inks and alcohol ink markers to use during class, as well as cans of compressed air, straws, blending solution, spray bottles, brushes of various sizes, paper towels, palettes, bottles of 91% alcohol, stamp pads with felt, gel and Sharpie markers, and photos (her own) for visual reference. She will have examples of finished work to show participants.
Pam will have different ways to work with the inks depending on how abstract or realistic students would want to work. I show how to work with the ink markers for those who want more realism and control. Abstracts, landscapes and florals are typically what she has students create; but birds, animals and cityscapes are also possible.
Sixteen years and up is appropriate for the class, which will be limited to 12 participants.
