Beth Vannatta received her bachelor’s degree in Art Education from Fort Hays State University. She taught Art for 27 years at Hutchinson High School, and Jewelry Design at Hutchinson Community College for 12 years. She taught Stone Sculpture for three years at City Arts, Wichita. Since 2000, she has been attending Wichita State University as a Senior Audit of Advanced Sculpture. She owns a 48-acre wilderness farm outside of Halstead, Kansas, where she has converted an old chicken house into her studio. There she sculpts in brass, copper, stone, wood, and clay. She does her large castings at WSU. She has shown her work in Kansas, Colorado Missouri, New Mexico, and Oregon.
