Since the time he was old enough hold a pencil or a brush, Allan has been
drawing and painting. His father owned a printing business so he had all
the scrap paper any artist could want.
Recognizing his talent at an early age, his parents enrolled him in art
classes. He then studied with prominent local artists, and at Southwestern
College and Wichita State University.
As an adult, he worked in the printing and graphic design industry
eventually owning his own business.
In 1979, Allan chose another art form as a professional producing clown
writing scripts, designing, building, and painting the props and staging
for over 40 different shows. He created his promotional materials and
designed and painted his personal canvas, his face, up to 10 times a week
for 30 years.
He has now made the transition back to his roots, using paint, pallet, and
brush to create pictures and wall art.
